It feels like nothing makes sense, but also everything makes perfect sense for them

The humor stays consistent with its chaotic style. It does not try to evolve the structure much, but that works in its favor since the appeal lies in repetition and absurd escalation. The pacing remains tight and easy to follow.

The animation was a rollercoaster—some scenes were crisp while others went full experimental/wavy—but it totally fit the surreal energy. It felt like a love letter to the original while firmly planting its feet in 2026. A solid 10/10 for the plot and the feels. Stay weird, Rei!

This finale was good enough to end this series. Nice to see the bunch as chibi version of themselves. Quite nostalgic feels when Rei learned about his childhood. The animation was mixed with a good with one that waves though. Somehow, it was a solid plot ending, the best so far.

As a certified weeb trash, my body pillow and I waited for this ep like true degenerates, but it literally doesn't even exist yet. 😭 Mid tier because I can't review what ain't there lol

Yabai, this ep was so mid, my Oshi Gura would probably just go "a" and move on, but like, some parts were still kinda Tee-tee I guessw.

Ugh, the way Rei-kun’s ‘flattery tactic’ just… existed in the background of the marathon was kinda mid, not the hidden foreshadowing payoff I was hoping for after all that buildup 😒

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly after the surreal, high-concept alternate-reality antics of the previous episode, this finale deliberately pulls the series back to ground level, real friendships, real places, real history. It serves as a closing statement on what the first season has been building: the idea that these characters' bonds run deeper than their comedic schoolyard chaos suggests. There is nothing left to set up; this is the season's final word.
