Episode was non-stop intense! Gabimaru and Sagiri finally team up to take down the giant. Felt so sad for Genji. Ending was wild with Chobei and Toma spotting those mysterious figures.

Black and red cursed aura visuals? Straight chills. Animation on the energy distortion and blood effects insane. Atmosphere dark and supernatural. Every supernatural reveal popped off, peak horror-fantasy vibes.

This episode shows Gabimaru facing new challenges while navigating the island’s dangers. I really liked seeing the moments where characters reveal their thoughtfulness and determination, which makes them feel real.

This had the most action so far! You see a typical battle laced with emotional inputs. Rationality wins the battle, but not alone. We are presented with Sagiri's swordsmanship and we get to see her resolve get tested. She is different than the other Asaemon. The end left me "??".

First major battle since the start of the series and its so peak and hype. Animation and action was so well done, yet they did a great job at the emotional story telling.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting just before the season's midpoint at episode 6 of 13, this installment marks the clear pivot from the alliance-building and exploratory tension of episodes 4 and 5 into full-throttle confrontation with the island's deadliest threats. The character dynamics and uneasy partnerships established earlier are now pressure-tested under life-or-death conditions. This episode lays critical groundwork for the back half of the season, where the mysteries of the island and the escalating danger will demand everything these characters have built together.
