The story transition was great. It seems that by the play of fate, Kageyama and Hinata have ended up at the same school, Karasuno High. The importance of teamwork was nicely promoted here, and the comic relief was funny. I really liked the individualism of all the characters.

Tanaka being the best senpai to these two chaotic idiots was honestly so cuteeee! This episode properly introduced Karasuno’s volleyball team and set up the story nicely as it continues to get more interesting.

The unexpected rivals meet again after their middle school match, and their dynamic is already hilarious as ever. This episode did a great job establishing their new journey at Karasuno High School while showing how chaotic their partnership can be.

The “idiot duo” facing off again was so funny. Lol. They’re both ridiculous in their own ways, but that’s exactly what makes their interactions so entertaining. I already love their chemistry and how they bounce off each other.

Hinata and Kageyama are forced to cooperate during a three-on-three practice match against upperclassmen. Their chaotic teamwork slowly stabilizes, and Hinata’s insane jumping ability begins turning Kageyama’s pinpoint sets into a weapon.

Very nice pace of an episode. Nothing exciting part yet, plot is starting to rise. Very funny scenes and lighthearted moments between the characters! Goes to show how each of their dynamic would play out in future episodes. Overall, the story starts to get interesting!

It's so funny watching Hinata and Kageyama's unique rivalry because they unexpectedly become teammates in the same high school volleyball team. I like how Hinata's silly gestures are portrayed without being over the top, and I can feel his sincerity in practicing properly.

I felt this mix of excitement and nervous anticipation the whole time. Something powerful is starting to form, and I cannot wait to see how explosive it becomes once they stop fighting the chemistry between them. This episode slows down to focus on their clash.

The episode brings light comedy, mainly through the appearance and interactions of the senior team members. It progresses smoothly without feeling boring, as the anticipation keeps building. I’m excited to see who will win the 3-on-3 match between the first years and the seniors.

It's so funny how unexpected their reunion is xD Hinata doesn't like Kageyama being there while Kageyama not giving a single F made me burst out laughing

Hinata and kageyama in the same team!!!!🤣. Watching them forced to cooperate is the ultimate "enemies-to-allies" trope done right. The animation on the receive drills shows the actual struggle of the basics. Tanaka is the chaotic energy we didn't know we needed. 🏐✨ Loved the energy⚡

Ep.2 keeps the energy going strong! You start getting a better feel for the main duo's chaotic but oddly perfect chemistry. The team dynamics are already shaping up to be really fun and the passion for volleyball just radiates off the screen. Super easy to get hooked.

There's a lot to look forward to as both Kageyama and Hinata will be on the same team. The characters building is a little slow but I get it, teams are only forming. Overall a great episode too!

We get to see a glimpse of the characters' struggles and flaws despite their overwhelming talent. Can this duo pull this off? They seem promising, but the clash between their personality may ruin everything. Overall a fun episode—funny, intense, and super hype.

The fallout from the pilot is brilliant. Seeing Kageyama and Hinata forced onto the same side creates instant, high-stakes tension. Their clashing personalities drive the comedy and the drama perfectly. It’s a genius shift that keeps you hooked on their forced growth.

While the first episode was an explosion of adrenaline, Episode 2 is the essential "cool down" that gives the story its soul. It shifts the focus from Hinata's individual dream to the complex mechanics of a team.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the premiere's character introductions and backstory, this second episode wastes no time escalating the central Hinata-Kageyama dynamic from distant rivalry to direct confrontation within Karasuno's gym. It establishes the internal team conflicts that will need resolving before any external competition can begin. Early in a 25-episode run, this is essential groundwork — the friction introduced here becomes the engine driving character development and team cohesion across the entire first season.
