Such a great exploration of what being gay in school feels like, and what it feels like to crush on someone who is seemingly straight and how much it hurts. Very accurate. Broke my heart and built it back up again in every episode. I adore them both.

I had fun with how simple the comedy was, and the short stories kept the pacing feeling fresh.

It’s a classic: you go to the hair salon and they cut off more hair than you asked them to.

Rival battle for one t-shirt for Hirose! Nakamura tried to get a limited t-shirt that was always out of stock. Hilarious moment. It was a heartwarming moment when he needed to choose between the t-shirt or a lost child. At the end, Nakamura cut his hair!

It should be a very Merry Christmas, but why is Nakamura-kun’s energy so intense?! Watch the ep and you’ll see why 😂 LOVE the really nice rendition of the usual holiday carols in this ep’s OST lol. Actually, the overall sound design in the first half is PEAK, it feels like a fun video game!! The other half has a pretty… interesting premise for an awkward guy like Nakamura-kun 😅

The haircut segment is honestly peak introvert horror comedy. The fact that they just build up all that anxiety and then end in a cliffhanger is kinda evil but also hilarious. xD

Yeah there’s not a lot of dramatic plot progression here, but that’s kind of the point. It’s more about social awkwardness, tiny wins, and internal panic than anything big happening.

The pen moment is lowkey the highlight. It’s such a small, simple gesture, but the way Nakamura overthinks it vs how naturally Hirose accepts it makes it feel really sweet. <3

Imagine running across a whole mall for a shirt only for Hirose to be wearing it already under his jacket and Nakamura looked like his soul left his body

The Christmas parade part was hilarious because those mascots are actually dangerous when you are in a total hurry to buy a gift

Nakamura trying to hide that butchered hair under a beanie in class is so relatable, especially with Hirose being all cheerful and asking questions about it

Nakamura and Reiji stopping their race to help that crying kid actually made me like Reiji a tiny bit more and it was so sweet seeing Nakamura give him the candy cane

Building up the haircut for the whole second half and then hiding it under a hat was such a tease and you just want to see the carnage
