Gintama Movie 3: Yoshiwara Daienjou Arc Review

Since I just came out the cinema fresh with abundance of wisdom and crazy, I’ve decided to give yalls my honest review.

As a Gintama fan, I love the fact that’s it’s still relevant and that they’re making a movie out of one of my favorite arcs for their 20th anniversary. Sadly, it wasn’t all up there. It’s absolute cinema but on a sorry level.

I appreciate the animators who worked tirelessly day and night into animating the entire film, the only problem some scenes have higher priorities than the others whereas the more important ones felt a step below those scenes, which makes it less impactful.

I understand that because it’s the 20th anniversary, they had to add in more important side characters into the film as a fan service, but to me, they were just off putting, they were funny at first, but by the end of it all, it all just seemed forced.

All in all I hope they’d make films for each arc, it’s not the worse thing, but it’s not the best thing either. I’m just happy Gintama fans are getting some new content every once in a while after its finale.
