Gachiakuta Episode 17: Memories of a Mediocrity

This episode takes a step back to look at the past of a character who feels average compared to the gifted people around them. It shows how self doubt can be as dangerous as any monster in the Trash world.

Ahh inferiority complex, don't you love to see it? In some way I relate to Zanka a lot, I know some people find it ridiculous the reasons he chose the stick but honestly I would do the same. You can honestly pick up on his personality in some episodes, it's subtle but it's what made him HIM. I gotta give props to the author to be honest, Rudo and Zanka feel so human and I can see myself in them. That aside the new character in Zanka's backstory is actually really cool. I mean someone from such a background can become such an exceptional student is actually really inspiring.

Zanka’s backstory was emotional and engaging, showing how much he has changed. It felt impactful. After what Jabber did to him, it’s hard to guess what will happen next. Makes you want to watch the next episode quickly.

This episode is a good story for me.Being on the top is not an easy task. You need to do your best to achieve it.

Lore-heavy episode that focuses on Zanka. The struggles he has growing-up and what made his past build him on what he is right now. The continuation of the fight scene is a plot twist and a mind bending one. The soundtrack choice is so good. The ending is a shocker.

I love this episode for the deep dive on Zanka! It was very interesting to see what his "origin" story is. And that ending part was quite the unsettling conclusion for this episode.
