Un excelente episodio en el que nos muestran a un personaje que con tan solo unos minutos logra plasmar un aura increíble de buen personaje. Ojalá veamos más de ese personaje, el héroe en las sombras.

I like how this episode introduces more heroes from the past, just like Kraft from Season 1. It shows that there are other heroes who are just as important and strong as the Party of Heroes. It was also tragic that the Hero of the South was kind of forgotten by most people except the village they visited. It makes you think that, at some point, the Party of Heroes and even Frieren's current group might also be forgotten in the future.

They're exploring a new place, and you can tell Frieren and the gang are getting closer even though they don't really say much

This episode has really good writing the fact that the both the hero of the south and the demon had future site and still fought which resulted in both if them dying since they have the same powers is just chef's kiss. I love how Frieren herself is like this living book of knowledge that passes on knowledge throughout time.

It's wild to me how much weight that single flashback carried, knowing that hero essentially signed his own death warrant just so Himmel could have a shot. I was really struck by how that one moment showed us just how legendary he truly was, even if his name isn't as widely sung as Himmel's.

The way the Hero of the South predicted Frieren meeting Himmel is so beautiful. He cleared the path for everyone else and died alone in the snow. This episode really shows the weight of history

Frieren really didn't waste any time with that demon priestess, did she? I was so surprised at how instantly she blasted her, but it just shows me how little patience she has for their tricks after all these centuries. Stark almost falling for it totally underlined how dangerous those disguises are, ses are.

Those shots of Schlacht and the Seven Sages were terrifying. That hero really fought one against eight just so the next generation had a chance. He really was a true warrior

The Hero of the South’s calm acceptance of his coming death in that flashback truly surprised me; I can't imagine facing such a grim certainty with that much resolve. It honestly made me reflect on just how much unseen effort went into securing the world before Himmel and his party even began their adventure. Then, for Frieren to be learning a goofy apple-growing spell right after the heavy demon priestess encounter was such a jarring but funny contrast, and I actually loved that unexpected twist.

The Hero of the South taking on all those Sages at once is actually insane. Knowing he would die and still doing it to help Himmel is the definition of a legend. This show always finds ways to make me sad

Frieren's quiet understanding in that cave, finally piecing together the foresight of both the Hero of the South and Schlacht, felt so profound for me. It really makes his decision to die, knowing what he knew, incredibly tragic, and I wonder how many other unseen sacrifices like that allowed their legendary journey to succeed. I just can't shake the thought of all the weight she carries from moments she only truly comprehends decades later.

Frieren getting so excited over a spell that turns red apples green is the most relatable thing ever and she really does live for the most niche magic she can find
