Aside from this episode not really feeling like "Fate", everything was just way too cryptic for it to deliver the emotional climax it was trying to achieve. The fight scene at the end felt almost obligatory. Overall, not a very good episode either...

Somehow there is emotional disconnect since the viewer, by this point, has an idea of the character of Hakuno, but his interactions with Alice is a drift from his character that makes it confusing. I give this a mid rating since the animation is way better than before.

Another confusing narrative mess. The episode tries to showcase an emotional payoff for Hakuno and Alice, but it falls flat as both remain bland and uninteresting. They sacrificed a fight scene for 21 minutes of empty yapping

The story of Alice is devastating and heartbreaking. But Hakuno needs to successfully pursue the third stratum without having an action-packed battle. Thanks to Saber and Rin for completing the fourth stratum. Alice, you will be missed.

Direction was bad, Alice had a potential to have an emotional impact to the audience but this was lacking something. It all seems dull for me, like what was that episode? There were too many abstract but lacked emotions on each character.

Alice and Nursery Rhyme had potential to be an emotionally resonant arc but this show somehow managed to make it feel hollow. The whole third floor arc dragged and the resolution was underwhelming. At this point I'm convinced this anime is only for people who played the game because as a standalone experience it's genuinely painful to sit through. Nero is carrying this show on her back and even she can't save it.
