Fall in Love, You False Angels

Grace, composure, and the kind of polished image everyone expects from a class president with a face like hers, that's the persona Otogi Katsura has down to a science. The only problem is that's not really her. Behind the polished image is someone far more blunt and headstrong, and she works hard to make sure nobody finds out. Her vice president, Toki Ninomae, is equally picture-perfect: impeccable manners, charming presence, basically her ideal counterpart. Except he's hiding something too. When they stumble onto each other's real selves, these two don't have much choice but to call a truce, and suddenly they're maintaining this elaborate double act together while quietly figuring out what they actually think of each other. The comedy comes from watching two people who are genuinely good at performing normalcy completely fail to keep it together around each other. The romance sneaks up on you in the way good shoujo romance tends to. If you liked the slow-burn tension of Kimi ni Todoke or the bickering chemistry of Toradora!, this TV series scratches a similar itch with a twist, both leads are equally in on the joke. Based on the manga that won the 49th Kodansha Manga Award in 2025, it brings something a little sharper than your average school romance.
