I loved this episode. Seeing the originals get some screen time was refreshing. And having both the replicas and the originals share the spotlight was absolutely one of the best developments for this show. Even if it's happening slowly, their character growth is making it so much better.

A bit slow-paced, but I liked the change of POVs in this one, switching between the originals and the replicas. This episode was emotional, which I didn't expect. I thought we were done with that, lol. I loved this, though. Such a good episode.

The switches between the two scenes were delivered well, and I actually liked the changes in perspective. I liked this episode, mixing light and funny scenes with heavy and emotional ones. It was carefully executed in a way that really hits hard.

The flashback with Ryo and the fireflies in the rice field was beautiful. You can see why her grandparents loved her so much when she was just sitting there sketching in the dark

Hearing about how Ryo changed after planting those tomato seeds was so moving. It shows she was more than just a substitute and she really found a way to connect with the world through gardening

Sunao saying he felt like his life was already over before this trip was so sad. Seeing him smile later and say he is glad he came to school is huge progress for him

You can really see Sunao becoming his own person when he finally laughs at that stupid Pukky joke. It is the first time he looked like he was actually happy to be on the trip

Aki reaching out to take Nao's hand on the train was so sweet. It made me feel like they are finally finding some stability in all this chaos and he just wanted to be there for her

That moment when Mochizuki joked about them being doppelgängers felt so heavy, especially since Nao and Aki are dealing with that exact situation every day. It was such a tense second for them.

I cried when Nao saw those watercolor paintings and realized Ryo was making art because she knew her time was short. It made me think about how much she actually loved her life with those grandparents

EPISODE CONTEXT

At episode 11 of 13, the series has moved well past setup and complication and is now in full resolution mode. The romantic and supernatural threads that have been developing since the early episodes should be converging here, with the central relationship tested in ways the first half of the season only hinted at. This episode directly precedes the final two-episode run, meaning it likely ends on a turning point — a decision, a revelation, or an emotional rupture — designed to make Episodes 12 and 13 essential viewing.
