This episode is quiet sad. Satoru basically ends up right where he started, still getting blamed for everything. First half feels slow with all the running and dodging, but that slow burn makes the ending twist slap way harder. If you’re into tension over action, don't skip this episode then.

Este capítulo nos enseña que el destino no cede fácilmente. La angustia de Satoru al ver los guantes de Kayo muestra que no basta solo estar presente ; para cambiar el futuro, hay que entender la raíz del mal.

While a little slow, everything that happens is important. It feels like there's little filler time in this show, and I love that. The ending of this episode left me speechless for a few minutes. This show really just gets better and better.

Another intense ep where Satoru is transported back to present day just as we're getting used to being in the past. Things pick up right where they left off, and I liked how they showed what has changed due to Satoru's actions in the past. The ending with Airi was surprising.

And in just one episode, everything changed. The emotions & suspense keep building up & the atmosphere is getting even more tense. Airi punching the manager was so satisfying. You can see some similarities between Airi & Kayo. Ending caught me offguard, my fingers are crossed.

The whiplash of jumping back to 2006 is disorienting in the best way. Airi's unconditional trust in Satoru feels genuinely touching. But just as hope flickers, the house fire snatches it away. This show never lets you breathe. Every episode ends with your heart in your throat.

things start shifting gears with higher tension. Pacing picks up as plans come into play, keeping you engaged. Animation handles the shifting moods really well, from calm to chills. Character relationships evolve in meaningful ways that pull at the heart.

This series isn’t all sunshine and roses, and things just keep getting more intense. I love how it jumps between timelines, showing how choices play out. It’s exciting and nerve-wracking, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the near-midpoint of a tight 12-episode run, 'Getaway' follows the fourth episode's attempts to alter the past and pivots the narrative back to the present-day timeline, raising the stakes considerably. It bridges the initial setup of Satoru's Revival ability and early investigations with the more dangerous, consequence-heavy back half of the season. This episode establishes the emotional and narrative foundation for the intense developments that drive episodes 6 through 8.
