You can really feel the weight of that sword when Gohan is pulling it and it makes the King Arthur vibes way cooler than just having him be strong enough right away

Majin Buu turning an entire city into chocolate while Gohan is just training in another world is such a crazy contrast that really makes the clock feel like it is ticking

The look on Kibito's face when Gohan finally pulled that sword out was everything I needed after he spent the whole episode being a total hater

Piccolo jumped in to stop the kids from getting caught by Babidi and it just shows he is the only responsible adult left standing while everything else is falling apart

Goku starting the fusion dance training was long overdue and watching him deal with two angry kids who blame him for everything was a different side of his character

Babidi is such an annoying little guy and watching him fly around while Buu causes chaos makes the wait for Gohan to finish his training feel even more stressful

That sword looks like a total pain to carry and Gohan looks so exhausted just trying to hold it up but maybe this is exactly what he needs to get his edge back

The sword pull was cool, but it feels a bit weird that his training now is just swinging around a heavy object when the world is ending and Kibito needs to stop complaining

You can tell Gohan has been slacking on his training because he was struggling so much with that heavy sword and Kibito was just standing there being a hater the whole time

Goten and Trunks yelling at Goku for not being there to save their dads was a lot more intense than I expected, but it makes sense since they're just kids and they're hurting, and I'm glad Goku is finally starting the fusion training because Majin Buu is literally turning entire cities into chocolate and eating them which is pretty dark

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 243 of 291, this falls squarely in the Buu Saga's middle stretch, where Earth's fighters are scattered and pursuing different paths to gain enough strength to confront an overwhelming threat. Previous episodes established Majin Buu's destructive power and the desperate measures taken in response, including Gohan's journey to the Sacred World of the Kais. This episode builds the foundation for a critical power-up arc that will directly influence the saga's climactic confrontations.
