Those twelve little blobs are adorable and you will want a plushie of the one that was hiding in the fridge stealing food from the sisters while they werent looking

That scene where the giant spirit appeared behind the sliding door actually gave a good scare because the music stopped so suddenly

Watching the main girl just accept that her house is now infested with demons was the funniest way to handle that situation

The art style is really unique, and it reminds you of older children's books but with a darker sense of humor that actually lands well.

That little blue one looked so sad when they kicked it out of the kitchen, and it made you feel kind of bad for it.

I really liked the ending theme song with all the dancing monsters and it stuck in my head immediately

Mutsumi is way too chill about a demon from the underworld moving into her house but her making him do chores in exchange for rent was a smart move

This was such a weird start and you might not expect it to be this laid back. The sisters having to deal with these bizarre little creatures is funny, but the art style changes when things get creepy are actually pretty impressive. It would be cool if they keep the folklore stuff going because the ending felt like things might get darker soon.

I actually laughed out loud when the chimimo started multiplying and taking over the living room because they just look like giant marshmallows with tiny faces and no brains

The watercolor backgrounds look so soft and pretty against those weird goblin things

The youngest sister being the only one who takes the demon stuff seriously is a funny dynamic and her drawing him as a loser made that scene perfect

i think the way the main lead reacted to seeing that massive shadow in the alleyway was great and his scream was way too realistic for a pilot episode

I thought the middle sister trying to bribe the ghosts with snacks was great and it worked way too well

It was hilarious when Mr Hell tried to act all powerful and then he immediately got bullied by the landlord sister for not having any money to pay for his room

My heart melted seeing how round and squishy the little monster designs are and the way they waddle around the house is so cute

Mr Hell is trying so hard to be intimidating and scary but he just looks like a weird guy in a costume living in a closet and the girls do not care

you get some really striking visuals during the transformation sequence but the transition into the comedy bits felt a little jarring and out of place

It is so funny how the little demons are supposed to be symbols of the apocalypse, but they just end up acting like cute pets. You can tell the animation style is different from most seasonal shows and it gives the whole thing a really cozy feel even though they are talking about turning the world into a literal hellscape or whatever.

That middle sister just brushed off the messenger of death because she had to go to her part time job and that hit me hard because it was so relatable

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the opening episode, this entry sets the tone and establishes whatever recurring characters or scenarios the series returns to across its run. With no prior episodes to build on, Episode 1 functions as a cold introduction with no setup required from the viewer. What it establishes here — in terms of character dynamics and thematic focus — is likely the blueprint for everything that follows.
