The conclusion of Hina's character arc is so abrupt and make no sense when her build up has nothing to do with the conflict she had to face in this episode. It would have made more sense if she was an Alliance citizen and have her confronted with the reality that she becomes a soldier to attack her home country and made her question her loyalty. It doesn't help that the Alliance kept getting attacked by the Zogilian, there's little to no war tactic involve and their only concern is making a bigger "gun' so to speak. The episode itself may not be bad, but it's only through bad buildup that makes the story infuriating.
