EPISODE CONTEXT
This is the 16th and final episode of the 'About Ori-chan' arc (Episodes 485–500), the show's first major sustained narrative, which concluded its climactic events in Episode 499 with the companions' difficult ascent of Mt. Aniani. Episode 500 provides the arc's warm emotional resolution, allowing the forest and its inhabitants to settle back into stillness. With this milestone reached, the series transitions out of long-form storytelling and returns to its beloved standalone, slice-of-life episodic format.
