I lost it when Ryo suggested charging ten thousand yen for a fan club where you have to bring your own food to the party and she is literally just trying to scam people at this point

My heart actually hurt when Bocchi was struggling to write those generic happy lyrics, because she thought that was what a band was supposed to be, but I love that Ryo stepped in and told her to just be herself instead of a fake, and it makes me feel better about not being a bubbly person since the lyrics she finally wrote were so much better

Kita trying to sing and play guitar at the same time looks like a total nightmare and her energy is the only thing keeping that meeting from turning into a complete disaster

Ryo giving Bocchi advice about being authentic instead of writing generic bright lyrics was surprisingly mature and it made their whole coffee shop meeting feel special

When Bocchi got so freaked out by having to write happy lyrics that she literally melted into a paramecium, I just about lost it laughing. It's so wild how her anxiety manifests, but honestly, I completely get that kind of creative block when you're just not feeling it.

Taping all those lyrics to her walls like a total hermit just to check the phrasing was wild and the visuals for her overthinking are so good

Ryo trying to sell those zip ties for extra cash just because they are signed is hilarious, but Nijika immediately shutting down that takoyaki party idea was even funnier

Bocchi trying to take that jumping photo was so awkward and she really just fell flat on the floor while everyone else looked like actual idols and it perfectly captures the feeling of a social disaster

Bocchi's head-banging during practice was wild, and honestly, I felt that in my soul; it's like a physical manifestation of her brain trying to cope with literally anything social, which is such a mood. I swear, the way she contorts makes me wonder if she's secretly a contortionist, but really, it just makes me feel for her even more.

You can really see the difference between a real social butterfly like Kita and a shut-in like Bocchi when they are trying to take that jumping photo together

Bocchi trying to write happy lyrics felt so wrong and I was glad Ryo stepped in to tell her to stay true to herself. The conversation at the cafe was easily the highlight for me because it showed Ryo actually cares about the music and isn't just a weirdo who eats weeds and asks people for money all the time.

Nijika attempting to be a serious band leader while everyone else is either scamming fans or having a panic attack in the corner is such a mood

It is funny how Kita is so worried about her guitar skills when she is the glue keeping the band from falling apart with her social skills

Man, Bocchi's jumping photo shoot was seriously tough to watch; I was almost wincing with her as she tried her best, but my goodness, she looked like she was actively fighting for her life in those photos.

I couldn't stop laughing when Nijika pulled out those zip ties, and Ryo immediately tried to figure out how to scam the fans for extra cash.

I felt for Bocchi when she saw Kita social media and just collapsed because that is me whenever I see people having too much fun on the internet

Ryo telling Bocchi that losing your uniqueness is like dying was actually pretty deep and it changed how that character feels

Bocchi's face during that photoshoot, trying to jump like the others but just looking like she was in pure agony, absolutely killed me. I swear my sides hurt from laughing, because it just reinforces how her social anxiety clashes with trying to be a rockstar, and I totally get it.

Bocchi just couldn't make those cheerful lyrics work, and I totally understood why. My girl's been spending her life in a closet, so how's she supposed to write about sunshine and rainbows? I was really feeling for her, seeing her try so hard with something that feels so natural to everyone else.

Ryo stopping Bocchi from writing fake happy lyrics was so good because she basically told her that being a loner is her actual brand and it makes the music better

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 4 marks the transition from assembling the band to actually functioning as one—Kita officially joined in episode 3, and now the group faces the practical realities of building an identity together. This installment lays essential groundwork for the performance-driven challenges ahead, particularly audition prep and original music creation that will define the season's middle stretch. It's a pivotal early-season episode where character dynamics solidify before the stakes start climbing.
