This episode is such a jarring shift after everything that happened with the Soul Society. Renji showing up at Ichigo's school is funny and the interactions work well, but finding out there are like forty more episodes of this filler before the actual plot continues is really discouraging. It might be worth sticking it out for the mod souls though.
