I was genuinely sweating when Soi Fon got that first mark on Yoruichi because Suzumebachi is such a scary ability and it only takes one more hit to the same spot to end it all

Isshin ending Grand Fisher with a single swing was so satisfying especially after that monster spent the whole time bragging about his massive sword and his new arrancar powers

When Soi Fon realized Yoruichi already knew Shunko, the look on her face was pure heartbreak and you could finally see why she was so angry
tael's avatar

I was totally stunned when Yumichika started draining that spirit energy and he is definitely hiding something huge from the rest of squad eleven by keeping that secret power a mystery
diorukia's avatar

I literally gasped when Yoruichi activated Shunko because poor Soi Fon looked so crushed seeing her mentor had already mastered the very thing she was struggling to invent, and the way Yoruichi just dodged every single strike of Suzumebachi was totally insane she really is the Flash Goddess for a reason and I need more of this backstory immediately

Ryuken showing up to save Uryu just to call him pathetic was such a cold move and you can really see the massive power gap between them when he fires that blue bow
rokurokubi_ronin_34's avatar

Yumichika hiding his true ability from squad eleven makes so much sense since they all hate anything that isn't a direct fight and it adds such a cool layer to his character

When Isshin just *appears* in a captain's haori, my jaw dropped—I can't even process that he's been hiding such immense power all this time. It completely changes my perspective on everything the Kurosaki family has been up to, making me question if even Ichigo knows the full truth about his own lineage.

watching Yoruichi toy with Soi Fon like that was cold but you can tell she still has some kind of bond with her old student despite all the years they spent apart

I honestly cannot believe both of their dads are this overpowered and have been hiding it this whole time because watching Ryuken call himself the last quincy while looking down on Uryu was so harsh but then Isshin shows up in soul reaper gear and just deletes the monster that killed his wife and the whole reveal left me with so many questions
zora_284's avatar

Shinji definitely knows more than he is letting on and the way he just watched everything happen without helping makes me wonder what his actual goal with Ichigo is

Kon sprinting through the city and screaming while that giant hollow chased him was funny at first but it got pretty intense when he actually got cornered on the roof

The contrast between Ryuken and Soken hit me hard because it really shows why Uryu is so conflicted about his heritage and his father's cold attitude

Grand Fisher was acting so tough with that massive sword until Isshin started lecturing him about spiritual pressure control and then just ended him in one hit
rangiku_rider's avatar

The explanation about why captains don't have building sized swords actually makes so much sense, and watching Isshin just split that massive hollow in half in one second was so cool.

Ryuken is such a cold person for telling his own son he has no talent right after saving his life and that bow he used was way more powerful than anything Uryu has done
megumi_mantra's avatar

I actually felt bad for Kon running for his life and then seeing the look on his face when he realized his goofy dad was actually a high level soul reaper made me lose it

Isshin standing there in those robes was the last thing I expected and the way he just took out Grand Fisher like it was nothing after Ichigo struggled so much with him before was terrifying

You really see the difference between a master and a novice when Isshin explains the sword size thing and then just deletes that Arrancar

That blue light from Ryuken's cross was such a surprise and he really meant it when he said he was the last Quincy
