the close range spear combat between the two of them shows how much better the choreography is in this arc and the impact felt so heavy

watching ikkaku go up against a clone of himself who actually plays the game better is such a trip and it makes you realize how much he holds back for the sake of his ego

ikkakus clone being so much more efficient with his movements really highlights the flaws in the original fighting style and it was interesting to see him struggle against his own logic

there is something really interesting about the reigai arc letting characters fight themselves because you get to see how terrifying ikkaku would be if he actually stopped caring about who saw his real power

Even for a filler arc, the animation in this fight actually looks great, and watching the two Ikkakus clash with their spears looked way better than some of the canon stuff lately.

i was getting so stressed out watching the reigai push him to the limit but ikkaku is just built different and he stayed true to his own rules until the end

it really hit me when ikkaku had to fight his own reigai copy because the double was way more aggressive and it made me wonder if the clone is just him without any mental blocks

I couldn't believe Ikkaku still refused to unleash his Bankai, even while literally being pummeled to near death by a fake version of himself; what is with his pride?! It made me so stressed watching him endure that brutal beatdown, knowing he had a way to end it.

I was really impressed by ikkaku being so prideful that he would rather get beat down by his own double than use bankai because it really shows how much he values his fighting style even in filler

This episode really captures why the Invading Army arc is actually worth watching even if it is filler, because the mirror match between Ikkaku and his Reigai was pure physical brawling. Watching him refuse to use his Bankai even when the copy was clearly more aggressive felt very on brand, and the spear choreography during those close combat moments was excellent.

Ikkaku's absolute struggle against that Reigai clone was brutal; my stomach dropped seeing him get so effortlessly outclassed when he usually fights with such intense pride. It makes me wonder if these clones have some kind of advantage beyond just power, because the Gotei 13 is in for a seriously grim fight if this is how strong they all are.

That still, unblinking copy of Unohana honestly gave me chills, like her placid face was just a mask over something truly terrifying. I couldn't help but wonder if that quiet observation wasn't just a mimicry but a calculated watch, making me feel like she sees right through everything.

I was genuinely shocked by how much more bloodthirsty the fake version of him turned out to be; I mean, it really amplified the danger and made me question just what he's capable of now. That kind of intensity definitely made the whole duel feel like a life-or-death struggle, way more dramatic than I expected.

I usually can't stand these random side stories, but watching Ikkaku actually grapple with his own dirty tricks in that fight was genuinely captivating; it made me think about his stubborn pride and how far he'd go. That god complex villain is still insufferable, honestly, but the drama of the captains being replaced truly intensifies things and I'm genuinely anxious about what's next for the Soul Society.

I'm usually quick to skip Bleach filler, but honestly, I found myself really getting into Ikkaku's fight against his own mirror image. There's something so dramatically cool, and a little terrifying, about watching him face off against an exact copy of his own power and fighting style; it felt like a true test of his spirit, not just a random adversary.

Those fake copies were seriously relentless, and it honestly threw me off to see even Yamamoto, someone I always thought was practically untouchable, having such a tough time. It really makes me wonder if there's *any* limit to how powerful these copies can get, or who's next to fall.

I actually had to do a double-take during that human world scene, because the background art was way more detailed and realistic than I'd ever expect from a filler episode. It almost felt like they were trying to trick me into thinking it was canon with how much effort they put in, which is kinda funny.

I seriously didn't realize how much Ikkaku was holding back until I saw him go all out against himself; it was such a dramatic display of power that made me wonder if he's actually stronger than we've been led to believe.

I'm genuinely surprised by how much this new villain already rubs me the wrong way; he just looks like some unassuming nerd, but his smug attitude is so grating. It's almost infuriating how quickly he's managed to become such a presence, and I just know he's going to be a thorn in their side for a while.

Seeing all the captains forced to deal with those aggressive fake versions of themselves was actually pretty intense for a filler, and I found myself genuinely wondering how much it messed with their heads having to fight distorted reflections of their own power.

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode continues the anime-original Reigai arc, directly following the reveal that impostor Soul Reapers are duplicate constructs targeting the originals. The confrontations here escalate the conflict from discovery to full-scale battle, with Ikkaku's duel serving as the centerpiece. The next episode shifts focus to Rangiku facing the Reigai version of Izuru, broadening the scope of these doppelgänger showdowns as the arc builds toward its resolution.
