When I saw the Gotei 13 reimagined as desert royalty and their guards, my jaw literally dropped because it felt so grand and almost like a forgotten legend. It really made me yearn to see more of Kubo's gorgeous color spreads come to life like this, imagining the dramatic backstories these alternate versions might have.
