I mean, the Arabian Nights setup felt so out of left field right after all the darkness in Hueco Mundo, it almost gave me whiplash, but getting to see Byakuya actually being a king? That totally justified the whole filler for me, and honestly, it was a dramatic shift that I didn't realize I needed.
