Harribel talking about sacrifice while flooding the area is a great detail and you can tell she is way more dangerous than any Espada we have seen so far

I felt like Toshiro really needed that win against Halibel after she kept turning his ice back into water and that Hyoten Hyakkaso move looked so crisp with the ice petals falling

Shunsui and Starrk just staring at each other while a cero charges for ten minutes was such a weird pacing choice and it felt like filler

Standing back up after that brutal hit shows Toshiro is carrying the weight of the whole Gotei 13 and his focus on those previous sacrifices is huge

Cascada looked way better in the manga and the anime just made it look like a random blob of water instead of a sharp arrow and it ruined the tension

When Toshiro finally froze all that water into icicles against Halibel, my jaw dropped at how dramatic that move was. But honestly, those jarringly blonde eyelashes on her just keep pulling me out of the fight; I can't help but stare and wonder why they thought that was a good design choice.

Aizen’s Hyoten Hyakkaso was absolutely devastating, I truly thought Toshiro was a goner when that immense ice attack hit. Yet, for him to stand his ground, battered but unbroken, just screams to me that his determination to protect his comrades, especially Momo, completely overshadows any physical pain.

Toshiro resolve in this episode is intense, especially when he starts talking about the legacy of the soul reapers who came before him. I wasn't sure if he could handle the third Espada but Harribel is a beast with that water manipulation and it was so cool when she turned his own ice back against him to show dominance

Comparisons to Ulquiorra are everywhere because of how this fight is going but people are just underestimating how much Toshiro is willing to bleed to win

Are Hitsugaya and Harribel really going at it, or is this water and ice battle just an elaborate dance? I'm honestly starting to wonder if anyone's actually gonna get a scratch, because right now it feels like they're just showing off the same powers without any real consequences.

When Toshiro took that hit, I seriously thought it was over for him, but then he just got back up like nothing happened. My jaw dropped, honestly, seeing his sheer willpower just refuse to quit after that. He really isn't giving up on this fight for Momo.

I actually felt the weight of Harribel explaining her aspect of death as sacrifice because it explains her cold fighting style in this battle so well

I am still thinking about how Harribel treats this like a Tuesday while the captain is out here putting his entire soul into every single swing of his sword

You can tell the captain is getting desperate when he starts talking about the resolve of the dead and it made that ice trap feel earned

I honestly felt like Hitsugaya was getting bullied for most of this fight, and I was starting to get worried for him because Harribel is just such a tank. Then he pulls out that Hyoten Hyakkaso and it felt like the whole atmosphere changed when the flowers started blooming in the sky, which was such a huge visual change for my favorite captain

The difference between her fighting for sacrifice and him fighting for his friends really made that final move feel like it had some extra weight

Harribel is still on skin after all those attacks and it is scary how she stays so calm while the entire sky is literally falling down

I could not look away when that giant ice pillar swallowed everything because I really did not think the kid had that much power in him

Those words about fighting for the people who died before him really gave the captain the push he needed, even if she is a total tank

The way Harribel stands there taking every hit without a scratch is so intimidating because it makes the captain look like he is swinging at a wall

EPISODE CONTEXT
