Having everyone join in on that boss battle after it absorbed the other sword beasts was cool and it is about time for the main story to finally start again

The massive team up against the giant beast was cool and it gave me a fun ending to this long arc

I was so confused when the zanpakuto spirits suddenly just reverted to swords, it felt like such a weirdly quick wrap-up for all that intense fighting we just witnessed. Seriously, what was even the point of them being sentient if they could just pop back into weapon form that easily?

The way the spirits had to return to the swords to win felt like a long time coming and now the filler is finally over

the sword beast arc finally ending is the best news ever and seeing the spirits return to the blades was a solid enough way to finish off those filler episodes

rangiku being a total drunk mess was easily my favorite part of the whole hour and she really carried this entire filler finale for me

Having all the spirits just vanish back into their swords right after the fight ended felt extremely convenient but at least the animation for the group attacks was solid

i actually think this was a decent way to end things even if the plot was a bit thin for a finale, and seeing all the soul reapers work together with their spirits one last time before they turned back into swords felt like a nice touch, and honestly rangiku was hilarious while being drunk as usual in the barracks at the end

it is kind of a bummer to see the spirits go back to being just swords after all that and at least the arc is finally finished so we can get back to the real story

watching that beast suck up all the reishi was pretty cool but the actual fight felt like it dragged on way too long for a filler villain

I spent the whole time waiting for Rangiku and Haineko to get drunk together and it was easily the most entertaining part of the entire episode

the concept of sword beasts losing their masters is cool but they barely did anything with it and just made a big bull monster for everyone to hit

the way everyone had to communicate and use teamwork to stop that reishi monster felt a bit slow, but at least it wrapped up all the loose ends before the next arc

Gosh, I was so ready for a truly epic final boss after all that rebellion arc buildup, but this minotaur felt so... uninspired, like they just pulled him from a generic monster manual. I actually found myself squinting at the screen, wondering why the animation suddenly looked so choppy compared to the smooth, intense fights we just had; it just pulled me right out of the drama.

When they finally launched those coordinated attacks against the last beast, I was genuinely surprised by the sheer synchronicity, and my heart just soared as the spirits returned. It felt like such a dramatic payoff after everything, a real victory for them all.

The animation held up pretty well for the big fight and it is nice to have the status quo back after all that chaos

It was a bit of a wonky finish for the arc, but the zanpakuto spirits merging back with their owners was a nice touch

Kirikaze looked like a total beast with that minotaur design and seeing everyone jump him at once was a cool way to finish the fight

I was genuinely happy to see Rangiku and Haineko getting wasted together at the end because their bond was the only thing that felt real during this whole filler arc

The final boss was such a generic villain but the sheer scale of the teamwork needed to bring him down made for some pretty good action scenes throughout the episode

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 265 closes out the Beast Swords filler arc, following the Katen Kyōkotsu vs. Nanao battle in the preceding episode. It serves as the bridge back to canon Bleach — the very next episode, 'Ichigo vs. Ulquiorra, Resume,' launches the pivotal Arrancar: Downfall arc, making this the final filler before one of the series' most anticipated confrontations.
