Byakuya's actions this episode have me completely conflicted; is he genuinely turning his back on everything, or am I just missing some incredibly convoluted, dramatic master plan he's cooked up? It just feels so uncharacteristic, which makes me think this *has* to be some elaborate setup, because the Byakuya I know wouldn't simply betray his ideals without a deeper, hidden purpose.
