I was genuinely surprised by Ichigo finally standing up for his inner hollow during his fight with Zangetsu; it's a huge shift from how he usually struggles with that side of himself, and honestly, it made that new getsuga tensho feel incredibly earned, like he truly integrated his power. And I gotta admit, Renji actually using kido and his brain to take down Saru and Hebi instead of just flailing his sword around was a pretty dramatic display of growth too, showing he's becoming a much smarter fighter.
