Aizen's manipulation of Shinji by using his own confidence against him was so cold, it honestly made my stomach drop; I never fully grasped just how calculated and utterly ruthless he was until seeing him dismantle someone psychologically like that. It's no wonder the Visoreds carry so much baggage, their entire dynamic makes so much more sense now that I've seen Aizen twisting their strengths into weaknesses.
