Kibune going on and on about being a top student felt like a waste of time but at least Kira looked cool

The way Kira used Wabisuke to weigh down Reppu was the only thing that kept viewers awake during this filler arc

You can tell this is filler when they spend half the time on academy flashbacks but Kira using Wabisuke is always a treat to watch

Kira’s calm during that whole mess with Kibune, who was completely unraveling from the power, genuinely surprised me. I mean, it really showed how much control he’d gained, which made his win feel so much more earned; I’m starting to think he's got more going on beneath that quiet exterior than I first thought.

This arc is mostly filler but the fight between Kira and Kibune actually felt like it had some stakes and Kibune is such a jerk for thinking he was better than everyone just because the academy ignored him, so seeing Kira shut him down with Wabisuke and make that giant sword way too heavy to move with his weight ability was great

Watching Kira stand up to that power hungry freak Kibune and making his weapon impossible to move made my day

I am so happy Kira finally got some screen time because watching Wabisuke make that sword too heavy to lift was the highlight of my week

Seeing Kibune talk about his past at the academy for so long was a bit much and he really needed to get shut up by Kira already

It was so satisfying to me when Kira hit that sword enough times that Kibune couldn't even stand up under the pressure

I actually appreciate that this filler arc is giving the lieutenants some real attention, which is something I always wanted to see. But Kibune? He's just such a bland villain with his generic grudge and those weird, empty frames on his face, it honestly makes me question why he's even a threat. I was really hoping for a decisive victory for Kira when he started making things heavy with Wabisuke, but seeing the fight drag out without a clear end by the credits just felt like a letdown.

I gotta say, finding out that guy turned evil just because he didn't get a promotion felt pretty cheap, like, seriously? I expected a more dramatic backstory for someone joining a conspiracy, not just a petty career slight, slight.

Kira's quiet resolve when he finally stepped up really caught me off guard; I'd almost forgotten the haunted look he carried after Aizen's betrayal, so seeing him fight with such conviction now felt like a huge turning point for his character, and honestly, a relief.

Izuru's Wabisuke attack was truly something else; I didn't expect him to just use it to make people buckle like that. It's so unsettling how effortlessly he can bring his opponents down, and it makes me question if there's a much colder, more calculating side to him than what we usually see.

When Kira couldn't finish that fight, my heart just sank, like, what else could possibly be coming? I kept expecting him to land the final blow, but then they dragged it out, leaving me wondering if there's some hidden power lurking or if he's just holding back for a bigger reveal. Man, I'm already itching for the next episode after that ending!

I was struck by how grounded this arc felt, seeing the Third Division left to clean up the absolute mess Gin abandoned them with really drove home the dramatic weight of his betrayal, and it makes you feel for them having to carry that burden.

Kibune was giving it his all in that fight, but I kept getting thrown off by his glasses; why did they look like nothing but empty frames, seriously? It was such a strange detail that just yanked me out of the battle's tension, even when the stakes felt so high.

Ugh, I really thought Kibune's big reveal would be something more dramatic than just wanting power for power's sake; it feels like I've seen that motivation a hundred times before, and frankly, it's a bit of a letdown for a Bleach villain.

When Kira used Wabisuke and that guy's sword became too heavy to even lift, I was just floored by how effortlessly brutal it was. It felt like such a definitive, almost poetic end to the fight, and it just cements for me that Kira's power is seriously underrated.

Kibune really had me yelling at the screen, I mean, the dude was getting thrashed and still couldn't shut his mouth about how superior he was. My blood was boiling watching him, and then for them to just *end* it right there, just as things were finally getting intense? What a tease, it made all that earlier slow build-up feel even more like a drag.

Ugh, I was so invested in the Soul Society stuff and then this episode was just... hallways? It felt like such a tease that they didn't even finish the fight, I mean, come on, that's what I'm here for!

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode directly follows Episode 183, 'The Darkness Which Moves! Kibune's True Colors,' which revealed Kibune's hidden agenda, and escalates that thread into a full confrontation. It sits in the middle of a filler arc exploring internal Soul Society politics, building toward Episode 185's larger-scale clash between Captain Amagai and Captain Hitsugaya. None of this material adapts the manga, so viewers tracking the canon storyline can skip it without losing continuity.
