I liked seeing the show focus on Uryu and Chad again and the simultaneous fights made it feel fast

When Jinnai started devouring his own weapon, I was just completely thrown off, like, is this really happening right now? My jaw literally dropped watching him then effortlessly smack Rukia down, making her look so weak after all the fights she's been through.

I usually skip these filler arcs because the pacing drags but this episode actually kept my attention with all the fighting. Seeing Jinnai literally eat his sword was so bizarre that I actually laughed out loud and then he just completely overwhelmed Rukia. It feels weird that Chad isn't using his full power from Hueco Mundo though and it makes the timeline feel messy

How the Bakkoto works is pretty dark and Genga making those walls with his blade had Chad looking so confused

Jinnai devouring his weapon to get a power boost is such a crazy visual and Rukia really struggled against him

These assassins are surprisingly strong for filler characters and seeing Genga create those walls by hitting the ground was interesting

I dont get why Chad is back to using one arm when he should have both his forms by now but the action was actually decent

Uryu and Rukia having to fight these assassins at the same time kept the energy up and they actually seem like a threat

I was honestly so relieved when all those individual battles finally erupted because the pacing instantly picked up, making this side story feel far more intense and not at all the dragging ordeal I'd braced myself for.

Rukia's expression when that assassin started crunching on his own sword, I swear, it was priceless. You could just tell she was absolutely flabbergasted, and honestly, seeing *her* that taken aback made the whole wild scene even more unsettling and memorable for me.

I was starting to lose my mind trying to figure out what was really up with these Bakkoto, so this episode's big reveal about their true objective finally gave me some peace of mind. It completely flips how I've been seeing all those fights, and honestly, I'm a little annoyed they kept us in the dark for so long – what were they even thinking?

Hanza just *devouring* that Bakkoto and then having those blades tear out of his back genuinely took my breath away; I mean, what kind of horrifying strength is he even tapping into by doing that? It makes me wonder if there's any coming back from something so grotesque.

I seriously couldn't believe it when Hanza Nukui started chomping down on his own sword, like, what was even going through his mind right there? It felt so out of nowhere, even for a filler villain, and I just remember thinking how desperately he must've wanted that power.

After the wait, my heart was pounding as the Soul Reapers finally clashed with those new ninjas, whose weird weapons instantly made me wonder if this fight was going to be way more complicated than it looked. It’s a classic Bleach move, bringing in unknown powers to shake things up, and I'm totally hooked.

I usually skip filler, but man, this episode actually hooked me with all the battles going on, and it finally cleared up how those Bakkoto swords give a power-up, which I appreciated. It was wild seeing Hanza literally become a human pincushion after chowing down on his own blade; honestly, that's such a messed-up but kinda cool idea for a villain, making me wonder how far these guys will go.

How was Rukia supposed to react when that guy actually started devouring his own weapon? My jaw dropped right along with hers, because that level of absurdity just felt so dramatically out of left field, leaving me speechless at the sheer audacity.

Hanza just *ate* his zanpakuto, and I'm still reeling from how wild that looked and how it actually made him transform into something even more monstrous; I gotta wonder if that's a permanent change or if he can even go back after something that extreme.

I was really impressed with Uryu using that smokescreen to get through the illusions; it just showed how sharp he always is when he's really pushed. It felt like a really dramatic moment seeing him outsmart an opponent with such a simple yet brilliant strategy, making me wonder what else he's got up his sleeve for future fights.

I was actually really happy to see the supporting cast get their own dramatic moments against those ninjas while Ichigo was off doing his thing; it showed me how much they've grown beyond just being his friends and how capable they are on their own. it felt like a crucial step for them to really prove their individual strengths, which is something I've been wanting to see for a while now.

The sheer ferocity of those Bakkoto sword assassins totally gripped me; I was glued to the screen with all the nonstop fighting, which was such a relief after the Bount arc. What I can't shake is the feeling that this is just the beginning of something truly terrifying, making me dread what ungodly new power Ichigo will have to somehow overcome next.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned within a filler arc roughly midway through Bleach's full run, this episode escalates the conflict introduced in the preceding episode where Ichigo's group first became targets of the assassin faction. It deepens the Bakkōtō threat and directly sets up Episode 177, 'The Reversal of Rukia! The Rampaging Blade,' where these battles intensify further with a focus on Rukia's confrontation.
