Ugh, seeing Grimmjow as that lost panther in the desert, just trying to find some meaning and not just rot away, honestly made me feel so much more for him. It really makes sense now why he's so obsessed with challenging Ichigo and proving himself; that dude was literally born out of a desperate desire for purpose, and it puts his whole drive into a new perspective.
