Stopping the main story for a ghost kid story feels a bit slow, but at least Rangiku is carrying the humor well enough

Shota calling Matsumoto an old lady while she is literally saving his soul from a hollow is just wild

If you ignore the fact that the animation looks a bit rough, the banter between Hitsugaya and his team makes this worth watching

The whole situation with Shota and his sister is surprisingly dark for a filler episode and it caught me off guard

Hearing Shota roast Matsumoto was just priceless and I did not expect him to be that rude to her face

Hitsugaya and his team trying to act normal in the human world is always good for some laughs and it kept the episode entertaining

You can really tell the animation took a dip since the last arc ended and it makes these side stories feel even more like filler

I usually skip filler but seeing Hitsugaya and the rest of the squad hanging out in the human world is always a treat and that little kid Shota is such a jerk for calling Matsumoto an old lady even if his backstory about the car accident and his sister is actually kind of depressing and makes me feel for him

Matsumoto having a whole fashion show during a mission was actually pretty funny and it made the filler break feel way less boring

I honestly feel so bad for Rangiku getting called an old lady by that brat and she was just trying to help him too

Having Toshiro and the rest of the team finally stationed in Karakura Town makes this feel like a decent setup for some fun side stories

It feels like the animation took a bit of a hit this week, but it is worth it just to see Rangiku dragging everyone along on her shopping trip

It is kind of weird seeing a filler arc start right now but at least we get to see more of the soul reapers just trying to protect normal souls in town

That little brat was asking for a beating after calling Rangiku an old lady so many times in one afternoon

I honestly don't mind that we are hitting a filler stretch because Rangiku having a whole fashion show while shopping was exactly the kind of chaos I needed to see today. It feels a bit weird going from the main plot to this rude little ghost kid calling her an old lady but the character interactions are carrying it for me so far

I actually enjoyed seeing the squad settle into Karakura Town and deal with regular ghost problems instead of just getting beat up by Arrancars

You can definitely tell the budget dipped for this episode compared to the last few but watching Rangiku try on all those clothes was still pretty fun

I already know this is a filler arc but seeing Team Hitsugaya just hanging out in the human world is a nice change of pace even if nothing huge is happening yet

Rangiku going on a massive shopping spree and treating the world like her own personal runway was the only thing that kept this episode moving

EPISODE CONTEXT

Arriving at episode 128 of 366, this filler marks a pause from the escalating Arrancar threat that has been building tension across recent arcs, including developments around Urahara and Orihime in the preceding episode. It introduces a self-contained side story with no direct impact on the main narrative. The following episodes will circle back toward the Arrancar conflict and the ongoing challenges facing the Soul Reapers stationed in the human world.
