Ryuken shooting his son over and over felt so brutal to watch, especially since it seemed like he was aiming for specific pressure points to unblock Uryu's spirit energy and I honestly don't know if his dad is just a jerk or if this was the only way to get those quincy powers back but it definitely worked in the end since he finally got his power back
