I was really surprised by how much the tone shifted once we learned about the Arrancars and Aizen's actual plan to declare war using the Hogyoku. Seeing how useless Chad felt against that one enemy hit me hard because he always tries his best to protect Ichigo and his friends. The Vizards are still a total enigma but Shinji is definitely interesting
