HELLO? What was that disguise as "X" LOL. Rill doing too much as always. This episode focuses on him and it feels like a deep exploration of his past. Super cool character work.

Rill's backstory was sad, but really could've been shown more! I was not expecting a sad backstory from his character of all people. He's so cheerful and always brightens every scene he's in. Looks like magic isn't always a gift in mages.

While Rill is a captain, his magic feels way too powerful. What is the point of magical elements or attributes when he can literally draw anything. The show should really do some power-scaling or level out the logic within this world's magical system.

I still cant believe Rills mom called him a monster just because he wanted to paint and it actually broke my heart and he was just a kid trying to find himself

Rill being Mage X was such a shock and the way he just paints over everything makes him look so strong compared to the other squads

Watching the paint flow and change into water or fire is so satisfying, and the detail in this episode is a huge step up from the last few weeks

Klaus and Luck bickering is always the best part and the Wizard King being a total nerd for new magic never gets old

Watching Nils get absolutely wrecked by that giant paint monster was something else and Rill is definitely on a whole different level compared to everyone else in this exam

Rill being able to swap elements on the fly makes him way too overpowered for these other knights to even stand a chance

The CGI on the paint magic was a little distracting but seeing Rill just create fire to stop ice or water to stop fire is so overpowered for a tournament like this

I honestly felt so sorry for Rill after seeing how his own mother treated him just because he couldn't control his powers, but Walter stepping in to be that father figure was the highlight for me. It makes sense why he's so playful now even if it's totally unfair that a whole magic knight captain is competing against these regular mages

Rill using his painting magic to counter every single element was so cool and that backstory about his mom being so mean to him really makes you feel bad for the guy

That butler Walter really saved Rill from just being a lonely kid with dangerous magic and his loyalty to the captain is so wholesome

My heart actually broke when Rill's mom said she wished she never had him and it explains why he is so attached to Walter now

That backstory with Walter and the painting was actually pretty moving, and it really adds a lot of weight to why Rill acts so cheerful all the time now

Walter is the real hero for helping Rill find a purpose for his art magic instead of just letting him destroy everything in his workshop
