This episode gives more information on how the elves actually were reincarnated. A lot of it feels like retelling with bits of Secre's point of view here and there but it connects the past to the present nicely. It also shows that Secre or Nero has been with Asta since he was a baby, so she could have a deeper relationship with him which would also explain why she did what she did when helping Asta fight the Devil, or am I reading too much into it? Overall the episode has a slow pace but acts as a nice filler while they travel home and gives good backstory and character depth

You can tell the studio is struggling to keep up with the manga and these clips are just a way to buy time so the animation doesn't look bad later on

Waiting a whole week just for another recap episode is painful and you just want to see the devil stuff but Nero being the focus makes it slightly more tolerable

Pierrot really needs to stop with these back to back recap episodes because everyone just wants to see the heart kingdom stuff happen and we already know what happened with the elves

At least the black clover filler is better than those long naruto arcs and seeing secre look back on the sacrifice lumiere made still hits pretty hard even if it is old footage

Watching secre deal with all that trauma for centuries while she was a bird makes you realize how much she really deserves a break and some peace with the black bulls

It was cool to see Secre’s side of things again, but it feels like the story is just stalling, until we get to the Heart Kingdom

The recap is a bit much but at least the focus is on nero and her perspective and you get a better sense of her loyalty to the first wizard king

I just want Nero to be happy after everything she went through and this recap made me feel so bad for her and the way she had to watch the first wizard king die

I wasn't expecting this recap of the elf arc through Nero's eyes, but it really hammered home for me how much that girl silently endured, making me appreciate her even more. Still, after seeing those devil teasers, I'm definitely ready to blast past these flashbacks and get to the real action!

seeing tiny asta and yuno from neros perspective was actually pretty cute but you still feel the drag of a recap episode

I honestly dont mind a bit of recap when it focuses on Secre because she spent so long as a bird just watching the kingdom fall apart and seeing her side of things adds a lot to how she feels about Asta and everyone else now even though i really just want to see what happens next in the story

It is kind of a bummer to get another recap, but at least the animation stayed decent for the few new parts we actually got

If you have to sit through a recap, seeing the highlights of the elf arc again isn't the worst way to spend twenty minutes

Watching the Elf massacre from Nero's point of view makes it hurt way more and she has honestly been through so much for the kingdom

A lot of people hate filler but this one actually adds something by showing Secre's perspective on the tragedy and her dedication is just on another level

Getting to hear Secre narrate the elf war from her own point of view makes those events feel so much more personal and she deserves all the headpats for what she endured

You can really tell the staff needed a break and letting the manga get ahead is better than rushing into the next big thing with bad art
