Julius being a kid now was a massive shock and it really changes the way those earlier episodes feel even though it was a wild twist

Ending the elf arc with the sun rising over the kingdom felt so earned after everything, especially with the animation looking that crisp for the big finale.

Patry and the others having to stay behind in those artificial bodies to atone for their sins is a way more interesting ending than just letting them all die

Watching all those elf souls finally find peace and float away actually felt like the long war is over at last. The music during that scene was perfect

The magic William used with Patry to help the elves pass on looked incredible, and seeing him finally try to make up for the mess he caused was a decent start.

That devil in Asta's grimoire looked absolutely terrifying when he was mocking the word soul devil and it really changes how you look at Asta's power

This was such a perfect way to wrap up the elf arc and seeing everyone finally find peace made all those episodes of fighting worth it. Lumiere saying goodbye to Secre was definitely the hardest part to watch, but it felt right for him to finally rest while she stays to help Asta and the others now that the dawn is here

I love that Secre is finally herself again and officially a member of the squad because her story with the first wizard king was so tragic

The emotional impact of Julius dying for his people is kind of gone now that he is just a tiny kid again and it feels like a total cop out

Yuno being the soul of Licht and Tetia's unborn son just explains why he gets every single power handed to him on a silver platter while Asta has to work for every scrap

Secre finally getting to see Lumiere one last time before he disappeared was the closure she deserved after all that time spent as a bird

I did not expect Julius to just pop back into existence as a child and I am still not sure how to feel about the stakes of the show now but he is still cute and that little scene with the devil gloating over the word magic guy was super creepy because it makes me wonder what he really wants

The way the animation slowed down for the final goodbyes made the whole thing feel so heavy. It really captured the sadness of the elves leaving forever

Lumiere turning to dust while Secre watched him go was the saddest part of the whole episode. She has been waiting centuries for him and now he is just gone

I have mixed feelings about Julius being back as a kid because it feels like the stakes just vanished even if I like him as a character

I was actually tearing up when Secre said her final goodbye to Lumiere and it feels so right having her stay with the Black Bulls after all that waiting

Watching Patry and the others decide to stay and atone for everything they did to the kingdom was the best way to handle that mess

My heart broke for Secre when Lumiere finally ran out of magic and vanished. I am glad she is staying with the Black Bulls now because she deserves a family

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 120 of 170, "Dawn" functions as the exhale after the Elf Reincarnation Arc's climactic finale, transitioning the series from one of its most intense stretches into a recovery phase. The battles are over, but the fallout demands attention — this episode handles the emotional and political consequences that reshape the kingdom going forward. It effectively bridges the gap between the reincarnation conflict and the next major arc, laying critical groundwork for the challenges still ahead in the series' final fifty episodes.
