A tense and emotional episode not from our main characters, but the civilians instead. You would hold a grudge too if you were in their position, but thankfully Eiji did what he could to change that even using force to do so. Nice character development arc for EIji and animation were above the standard of it's time, nice episode.

The episode leans heavily into the darker side of things by focusing on revenge, resentment, and the lingering damage caused by Eiji’s past actions. Rather than introducing new mysteries, the episode spends time showing how different characters have been affected by the Great Destruction and why many of them view Eiji as the source of their suffering. This gives the conflict a bit more emotional weight compared to previous episodes. The action scenes remain flashy and dramatic, but the real focus is the growing hostility directed toward Eiji. Even though the storytelling is still messy at times, the episode benefits from giving its antagonists understandable motivations. It is not a particularly deep episode, but it does make the world feel more connected by reminding viewers that Eiji’s wish had consequences that continue to affect everyone around him.

This plot focuses heavily on the theme of public hatred, as Eiji confronts citizens who lost everything in the Great Destruction. Visuals drop the high-tech flashy filters for more grounded, ruined urban landscapes and dusty backalleys. The soundtrack drops the heavy electronic beats for a more tragic, high-pitched string arrangement to amplify the emotional weight.

Specific Moment: The animation of Eiji’s left eye violently twitching as his domain expansion ("Bind Dominator") forces hundreds of angry protestors to drop to their knees simultaneously.
