Synopsis
Shortly before the start of a new semester, Misaki Fujioka visits her twin sister Mei Misaki in Yomiyama City. The girls make full use of the last days of summer, roaming around a heat-weary town and visiting various places including a shopping center and shooting stall. When they prowl around her basement, Mei expresses uneasiness about her new class, which is said to be cursed. Craving more entertainment, the twins decide to pay a visit to the local amusement park. But the leisure of a sleepy summer day could soon turn woeful as Mei sees the color of death on her sister—an unmistakable omen that a tragedy is bound to strike. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

estrapoe★★★★★AnimeThis OVA builds on the relationship between misaki Fujioka and Mei Misaki. I liked how is made mei a more well rounded character because it makes the anime look sadder. Not only was she being bullied but her sister died cause of the curse. I think the horror of this OVA is well done! From the sweet beginning to the tragic end! Which is seamlessly retraces back to the beginning of the original anime. I do think this is worth the watch for the character building of Mei Misaki alone. Though, it does give some scares that will do great for horror buffs!
dazarodriguez459★★★★★AnimeThis OVA is a masterful exercise in atmospheric dread. Taking a step back from the claustrophobic, immediate terror of the main series, it gives us a deeply personal look at Mei Misaki during a surprisingly wholesome trip to an amusement park. The brilliance of this episode lies in its dramatic irony; the sunny, almost sweet tone is constantly undercut by the unsettling visual direction and the looming shadow of the curse the audience already knows about. It fleshes out Mei’s character beautifully, showing a softer, more vulnerable side of her before the tragedy truly takes hold. While it is chronologically a prequel, it is absolutely essential that you watch this only AFTER completing the main series to fully appreciate the heavy foreshadowing. A fantastic, emotional wrap-up for fans!
dazarodriguez459★★★★★EP 1Episode 0 is a brilliant, eerie prequel. It steps away from the relentless horror to show a surprisingly sweet day at an amusement park with Mei. The atmospheric dread is still there, heavily foreshadowing the main series. Definitely watch this AFTER finishing the show!
