To be honest, I don't know if I'll end up fascinated by this anime or if it'll just be another one in the crowd; I think it's still too early to tell.

As for the episode, the animation is a bit too extravagant for my taste—huge eyes, wild hair, and the same goes for the personalities. It really caught my attention that no one reacted the way someone would in the real world, and it’s not like the lore seems to be set in a fantasy world, but rather an everyday, slice-of-life setting.

Was nobody surprised by a doll walking on its own? NOT EVEN POTETO!! haha, I don't know.

The pacing was way too fast, I didn't really like it.

A hidden gem with beautiful OSTs. The episode managed to show the characters' personalities, while at the same time keeping the mysteries that are enough to make people intrigued to watch the next episodes. 8/10 recommended if you like drama with a bit of mystery.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the series opener, 'Breeze' has no prior episodes to follow — it is the foundation everything else is built on. It establishes Yukito and Misuzu as the emotional core of the show and introduces the contemplative, bittersweet register that defines Air as a whole. What feels like a simple character meeting here carries far more weight in hindsight, making this episode essential groundwork for the dramatic and supernatural turns the season will take.
