The art style is slowly growing on me . Here, we see a different side of Futami’s relationship with her assistant Hazama as the show goes into their past. It’s touching, & also relatable to me as an artist. There’s a great balance between the comedic & emotional parts.

S1 EP2: I got inspired by watching this episode because it shows the struggle and dedication of being a mangaka. It goes to shows that it’s not an easy job and it takes a lot of effort, time, and energy to produce something amazing. Plus the OP and ED is cute too.

We get to see a little more into Mizuki's past and how she got where she is today being a assistant. It is truly adorable to watch Futami get worked up over her deadlines and how Mizuki handles her.

Hazama's character really shined this EP. Surprised that as competent as she is, she still struggled on some aspects of being a mangaka. And to realize that on your own when you're having a big break really must have taken a lot for her. Really hoping she made it big someday.

UP: CURSED DOLL ON THE DESK. The mangaka talks to it like it's a coworker. Assistants too scared to question it. DOWN: The doll "watches" them work. Creepy but funny. Just roll with it. 👻
